Default Boosted Project Thread.... Crx + B18 + Boost = Hottness! Lots-O-Pictures

Just another Project thread... Some of you may have seen my older threads, but under my old name (SingleCamDan). Nothing out of the ordinary, just swapping my longblock and building a new set-up...

This was my SOHC-T set-up last season (SingleCamDan)

Then i became DualCamDan...

Shortly there after i went boosted again!

I beat the **** outta that B18a for about 3 months @ 10psi till the ring glands blew out on me racin 90LsPimpin'...

So, out she came

In went the new B18b

She needed a new cam seal so Golden Eagle she got!

Got a New manifold

A New WG

A bigger front mount

Basicly just a Boost-Fed Wet Dream! lol

After that i started fabbing everything up

IC piping... 2 1/4" hot side - 2 1/2" cold side

Down Pipe... 2 1/2" flaired to a 3"

I made a 4' section of 3" for my "exhaust"

Then my dump...

Not to bad looking for a HMT set-up, IMO at least.

Things not lested above...
Im running an RFL BOV
t3/t04e turbo
Stealthmode oil drain
HM oil feed
Cold side in the motor bat is heat wrapped
and i just installed a catch can, you dont really notice it, it's hidden in the back, were the factory charchol canister was at. i'll have more updates soon. Im going ouside to finish welding everything up.

nice job.

I have a question.

You switched from a revhard/blox manifold to a log manifold. Will that make it harder for you to put a filter on the compressor/turbo inlet, like you show in your second pic?

this season i'm only gonna be running 10psi, maybe 11... , but im hoping for about 250whp at 10psi. nothing crazy. but im looking for some LOW 13's if not breaking 12's at the track... if not i'll just crash it into a wall... JK

yea, the wg dump is a lil sharp, but it looks worse in pics. in person it's not as harsh of a turn. i had to make shift w/ an old wg flange for now, it'd only for this season, next season it'll all be a little differant

Dan setup looks good, your custom stickers are coming very soon.

By the way, just an fyi, grinding down welds smooth will weaked the weld and can cause breakage

Awesome, thanks man! yea, im not gonna grind them down to much, just smooth them out in som places. the dump and DP will be heat wrapped so im not to worries about how the welds will look under it, lol. but i wanna clean up a lil bit of my pay piping. thanks for the heads up though!

i'm just finishing up painting my new(er) valve cover and hopfully will be cleaning up my motor and bay friday if i get off work in time... i'll post some more pics up soon.
