this a situation that has been causing some controversy the past few weeks in the south east... a while back i owned a silver EK hatch that i once has Spoon SW388 wheels on. a good friend of mine, brewer, took many pictures of my car because he was pretty much in love with it. shortly after the Honda-Tech Atlanta meet about 5-6 months ago, i decided that it was time for a change and i traded another friend of mine, robert "hondizzle", for his volk TE37's. everything went great, me and robert hung out for a couple hours and talked about cars and such as we traded our wheels. well some time went by and about 1.5-2 months later a kid that i thought was my friend thought that it would be ok to send a picture, one of the pics brewer took at the h-t meet, to a kid that was wanting to purchase Spoon SW388's. he possed as me and pretended that he owned the silver hatchback in the pictures and from what i hear, he got the kid to send him money in the mail or somehting. well time went by and ____ never sent any wheels the the paying H-T member so he made a thread in the EM1 crew thread saying that the owner of the silver hatchback was scamming him. robert "hondizzle" saw that that was my hatchback and told him my name and phone number. the paying H-T member then contacted me and accused me of all of this, i told him i had no clue what he was talking about and then i found out shortly after that it was a close "friend" of mine that had done this. i relized this because there is about 3 of my friends computers where my H-T name stays logged in because they dont use the site hardly ever, if they do its just to browse at pictures so i wasnt worried about it. i guess this so called friend of mine was using my username and his username to "scam" this other guy and i relized this when i got online and got some weird PM's. since, me and this other former friend of mine have not spoken nor hung out. he has moved to another state and is not associated with me and my group of friends in town. i wanted to make this thread to clear up any problems or confusions this other "friend" may have caused. i have done lots of business with numerous "well known" H-Ters since... i traded my hatchback to Jason "brewer" because i couldnt get emissions done of because we loved each others cars, we have had zero problems since our trade and we actually stay in touch.... i purchased a AN-R header from mark "hella jdm" and had zero problems with that exchange.... i traded my Spoon SW388's to robert "hondizzle" in exchange for his bronze Volk TE37's and had zero problems with that exchange... i drove out to Chase's "EF8kid" house to mild-ly wire tuck a friends miata engine bay and spent a couple days hangin out with him... i also have dealt with th owner of weaksauce, adam many times...

ask any of those H-T members and they will all tell you i never did any "shady" nor have i been dishonest about anything before... i work very hard 50-60 hours a week in order to have the parts and things i own, i dont find it ethical to rip another hardworking person off for their money... cause id be pissed if it happened to me

it's kinda hard to make an educated decision about what is really going on if only one side of the story is represented.

 

Justin is an awsome guy and one of my bestfriends....If you get the chance to talk to him or even kno him you'll kno he isnt the type of guy to do something like that

 

I had zero problems with the trade with justin. He came to the shop I work at and we did the trade. I will have the "scammed" member check out this thread and see what he has to say about it. I really doubt that Justin had anything to do with the mixup and I hate to hear his name being tarnished because of it but I guess we just have to get **** figured out to get him cleared up.

the person who was scammed was me, and i still am to this day jipped out of 230$ out of this situation..The guy brandon (or whatever his name was) scammed me.. his friend robert (who drives a teg) told me justin and his brother were in on the whole scam.. so until this all clears up.. ive been scammed by a whole bunch of friends.. if anyone wants to clear this up give him a call 404 545-3534.. cause as of now ive been told justin was in on this

derek had used robert's phone in order to deal through ^^... when you talked about the picture of the car you saw and the wheels you saw of course he's gonna say me.... no one else in thise city had a silver ek hatch with spoon wheels... i dont know who this brandon person is you are speaking of but the guy who scammed you was named derek... he told a friend of ours that he was selling something and he wanted to use his paypal account because he didnt have paypal.... brad, let him use the paypal... when brad got word that derek was doing all this shady ****, he was able to return all the money that derek hadnt already used up because he didnt want to be a part of it

Damn bro... this **** is a mess. Honestly Im not even involved in it except for the fact that I have the wheels because of a trade directly to Justin. I will vouch for the fact that he seemed like an honest person and I had no problems dealing with him. I do however know that the few times I did hang out with Derek, I didnt like him. He always was a lier and I never trusted him. Sorry Chris for all of the bullshit that you have been put through but the whole deal seems like it would have been a little too shady for me to have sent out a G in the first place. I hope you get your money back, I dont know where Derek is at this point. I know that he sold his em1 and that I have not seen him since before I got the wheels from Justin.

 

seems to me that this Derek guy is tryin to get away from the situation...sellin his car, moving away, loseing contact with his "friends" all the signs point to him.

 

i havent seen derek in about 2 months from what i hear he got out of the "import scene" and purchased a S10 w/ 20's.... and he moved to his dads in ohio because his mom kicked him out
