i know nothing about a honda so thats why i came here.
my father has a 86 crx SI with about 60k on it. it was my grandfathers car, he has now passed. the car sat neglected for some time. hence the low milage.
the sunroof on it leaks. he says its the rust on the sunroof panel. he wants to buy a replacement sunroof panel. sounds easier than repairing it. does anyone know where to get one of these or is this one of those im gonna have to go to the junkyard to get him one.
do people part out cars on this website? im usually on volkswagen website's and there are part out's on there all the time. are there any other model cars that have the same size panel?
finally last question:
the plastic fiberglass peice, side skirt if you will, on the drivers side door has cracked. harsh Pa. winters i guess. is there anyewhere to get those new? other than the stealerships.
anything you guys/gals can tell me would be great. websites. universal years, models,parts.

 

for 1st gen crx questions, youre best going to http://www.redpepperracing.com/ theyre the old crx/civic fanatics. they'll be able to help you best and be a better resource.

my opinion is that youre best either talking to other 1st gen crx owners, like at that forum, theres not many here. or just start combing junkyards for the parts you need.

its hard to say why exactly your sunroof is leaking. could be the drain tubes being clogged too. or several other things.
