my 93 civic cx with a JDM b16a, is throwing the code 19 which is automatic tranny lock up control solenoid valve, which makes no sense seeing how the car is 5-speed, my only thought is that i bought a usdm GSR wire harness, which come to find out is probably from an automatic car... the ECU is also throwing a code 10 which is intake air temp... there isnt even an intake air temp sensor on the car!... help please!!


o and is this why my vtec isnt working... i had already wired the solenoid and the pressure switch..

 

the Code 19 is Because your ECU is a Automatic.
And yes you have a IAT sensor its located on the intake manifold.

Open up your ECU and look at the resistors and it will tell you that your ECU is auto or Manual.

I know the ECU is automatic. Because if the ECU was for a Manual it wont look for a Shift Solenoid or anything.

there are 4 things you need to engage in vtec

1) 55psi of Oil pressure
2) 160*F water temperature
3) RPM's Must have a Vtec Engagement Rpm's
4) Must be Going faster than 10mph (VSS must be Working)
