Default for those who are lookin for clutch upgrade on the bone stock rsx type s (with future intentions of

i posted previously about my tranny being messed up and im getting ready to buy this full face disc STAGE 1 or 2 from spec clutch. i picked this cuz it claims that it'll remain the street-friendly engages yet i may drag the car whenever im down for a race. HOWEVER, i got friends with 6 puk and they all recommend that i go with 6 puk which are the stage 4 or whatever. im like dammmnn.. cuz it says 6 puks are not street- friendly due to the fact it grips better and such. so pls tell me what ya think. i mean i dont mind 6 puk cuz that would means better hole shot n possible quicker times at strip. yet keep in mind this is my daily driver car and i do go through some heavy stop n go traffic every now and then. ive never driven a 6 puk so i fear this would be a hassle for me to drive daily. im clueless. your opinion and help will be greatly appreciated.

well im in the market for a clutch as well and i think ill go with the exedy stage one but that depends on what kind of upgrades u want to do for your car u might want to go with something stronger i dont plan on doing anything big just the simple mods soo good luck with that.

Go with the clutchmasters stage 4 clutch and flywheel. It's a 6-puck disc but the pressure plate is soft. You clutch pedal will still feel like stock, it's just the release and grab that is quicker. But it's perfect since you already have a stock clutch.

Most people that go twith the Exedy and ACT stage 2 clutches right after having a stock clutch, burn them out quick, because they don't know how to adjust to the extra pressure on the clutch pedal. Because the peal is stiffer it cause people who are not used to that to ride the clutch more and slip it more on the simple take offs of everyday driving.

I put a Spec stage 2 in my other car and am really happy with it. It took about 1000 miles to really break in, now it drives great (keep in mind, this car is 98% street, 2% AutoX). Engages smooth & tight but not too aggressive for everyday. Years ago I drove a friends car right after he got a CM Stg. 4, I remember thinking it was ridiculous for a daily driver, you had to 'launch' it from every stop sign and light. Might sound cool at first, but when it's your only car and daily driver....... I think it lasted him about 30,000 miles. He's got a Stg. 1 'something' in it now.

I'd say if this is a non-daily driven 'fun' or race car - stg. 3 or 4 is great
daily driver - stg. 1 or 2
