Help me figure out these poorly translated alarm install instructions
I searched for this model on here and nobody has a writeup on how to install it. Its is a cheap ebay alarm but came with audi/vw flip keys so I fell for it. The vehicle in question is a 93 dx without power locks. I got all the simple stuff like turn signals and brake light, mostly need help with the ignition relay and the door lock wiring scheme (the first one) thanks in advance.

Holy fvcking ****... That's some crazy stuff.... Alright... Let's see what I can figure out...
Well, yellow looks to be the ignition input, which gets tapped into the true ignition wire in the ignition harness... It looks like there's starter kill, but I can't really tell which is the key side and which is the starter side of the relay....
Ummm... Yeah... That's about all I can figure out, aside from the obvious ones...
Do you have a wire color chart for your car? You can get one at http://www.bulldogsecurity.com...
Good luck with this...

Yea, that has to be some of the worst translating I have seen, it looks like they are using ign. kill instead of starter kill just install the relay on the black/yellow ign. line in the ign. switch harness, cut the black/yellow lead connect the ign. switch side to the green wire that has the thinner jumper going to another terminal of the relay and connect the car side of cut ign. wire to the other green wire.
If I understand your car does not have power door locks but you are installing them, correct?

OK...Did your alarm package come with a bosch style relay as well?
That would be the Ignition /starter kill relay.
If not, then get yourself a bosch style relay and wire it up like so..
#85 - Yellow Wire from Alarm brain
#86 - Ignition + 12v
#87 - NOT USED
#87a - Starter Wire - Key Side
#30 - Starter Wire - Starter Side
In case you're confused, to wire up 87a and 30, you need to locate the starter wire, cut the actual wire in half, and
Door locks wiring - Are you adding power locks?

yea, it uses that style of relay, now it makes alot more sense. So I cut the ignition wire tap one green into the key side and one into the coil side. What about the white wire? looks like that one is spliced into the key side green wire? With the door locks, I do not and wont be installing power locks. "Figure one negative" (the one on top) is how you are supposed to wire the door harness to a car without power locks. Now a few more questions I have, off the brain there is a blue wire that goes to "negative trigger door side switch" what the heck is that? Also the red wire looks like it just ts into the brown wire by the battery, but should it actually go to the positive end of the batt? thanks alot for your help guys. I hope this alarm doesnt suck that bad, atleast the audi keys are cool.
Trending Topics
Yes the white wire is connected to the key side it is power for the relay coil and must be on the key side or relay will not work, it can be a smaller gauge, [20/22 gauge] jumper from the key side terminal of relay, [30 by the looks of it] to 85 or 86 of the relay, with the yellow connected to 85 or 86, [whichever the white is not connected to.
If your not going to do door locks just ignore the door lock wiring, [no needed].
Blue wire is neg. (-) door trigger your 93 Civic has neg. (-) door triggers connect blue wire to light green/red wire in drivers kick panel...
http://www.directwholesale.net...eID=3
The red wire is the alarms constant 12V+ power lead connect to constant 12V+ source, [batt pos. (+) or white lead in ign. switch harness.

Careful now...The RED wire off this alarm brain connects to the Brown Wire going to an indicator lamp...not to a 12V constant source (UNLESS THE DIAGRAM posted has a line going to the + Battery post that I did not see)

I'm almost beginning to think this alarm receives its 12V power from one of the Brown Indicator wires that go to the alarm brain...
...Unless I too missed the day they taught ebay 12v security master techniques.

Are you two serious, or just being sarcastic, it just looks like it's going to the brown wire, poor quality reproduction, [maybe the original is crappy also] but I would be willing to bet the red wire is constant power, [not connected to brown, no reason for it to be connected to the brown.
And before any one asks, I bet the yellow, that makes that left turn to go to the ign. kill relay also goes straight to the "Key On", bottom right of relay diagram, making me willing to bet it's and ign. input.
However what does confuse me is why is there a brake hook up?

I will agree on the Yellow Wire with you. But looking at that diagram over and over again, I still dont see the connection between the red wire and the 12v +. I mean, i too agree that the red wire should have no association with the brown wires, but follow every other wire on the diagram. Every other wire does not merge or cross each other like the brown and red ones do....

I say chuck that pos and get yourself a real alarm, lol. I see a battery in the pic but no wire to it. I see a wire below the yellow but no color on it and it looks like it can make it to the battery in the diagram. Sorry, It does not make sence to me at this point. "shakes head" Does any of the wires have fuses on them?

OOh, good point on the fused wires. I dont think I saw one either. But yeah, somehow, someway, this alarm gets power....maybe its SOLAR POWERED..

If you go to the back alley behind the taco shop, there's an old lady with one leg next to a dumpster that will perform coat hanger abortions. But if you ask her in cantonese, she also sells those alarms on ebay.
That alarm is about as filthy as re-using syringes out of the hazardous waste disposal. How much do you hate your car, buddy?

yeah, this alarm isnt the best out there, but I wasnt looking to spend alot of money on it. Not too worried about my car getting stolen, just wanted enough to deter stupid kids. Mostly the car will be parked on a secured college campus, and when I'm not at school I live in the country. Both brown wires and the red wire are fused, the browns are 7.5 and the red is 15. The original diagram shows no connection between the red wire and pos terminal, however since it is a thicker gauge (same thickness as the ground wire) I will assume its constant 12v. thanks for your help guys.
strach that..
both brown wires fused???
--------
suggestion: trash it... buy a real alarm.. and reprogram the keyfobs if possible...
cause u want the keyfobs soo bad...

Get a DC automotive switch, a DC automotive SPST relay, a siren, and some 18 gauge wire. Connect the wire to your door trigger wire, then to the switch, and then run it through the relay. Next run constant to the 30 on the relay and put the siren on 87.
When you open a door, the siren starts blaring, hit your hidden switch. You want to take it one step forward? Add a start kill relay. Less than $20 an maybe an hour tops and you'll have better protection than that ******* abomination against nature that you bought when you were high on smack.
That **** will surely set your car on fire. I'm saying this out of respect for a complete stranger.
BTW there's no such thing as a secure college campus. College security guards are a joke. And cameras are no use unless you know the person. Unless you'd like a home video to keep for the memories.
