Default OK Guys....

Me and my dad are going to re-time and adjust my valves this weekend, (loud engine noise) no oil leaks or anything else. I was just wondering, while I am working on the head, is there anything (Short of a LSR swap :D) that I should or could do. I was thinking cam gears, and stuff like that. I am going to replace the timming belt at the same time. Thanks for the advice.

Oh, BTW 93 Acura Integra LS,
AEM CAI

Later,
Justin

Man my valves are loud as can be. I've just had them tightend as the dealership a couple days ago.

Of course I had my whole bottem end and valve's replaced, but alas still ticking. I've come to the conclusion that I have noisy valves. Oh and the dealer has looking over, tightened the valves but still the ticking continues.

Then what do you think the ticking could be? I have never done this before so it will be a fun experience (I guess) I figure it can't hurt. I have 130k on my car, I would come to the same conclusion as you did if my car was just a few years old, but my car is a grandpa, and I have to at least get in there and check everything out. BTW, I have heard that the LS R does 190 hp (not at the wheels) is that true?

Later guys and gals,
Justin

Are you talking about the LS/VTEC with the use of an ITR head, or what??? I have never seen this head swap called the LSR, because you can use pretty much any b series VTEC head that you want. If you are talking about LS/VTEC, then yes, there have been many of these setups tuned to produce more than 190 hp, and they also have some more torque than a regular VTEC engine.

you may want to replace cam seal, valve cover seal, spark plug seals, valve cover grommet seals, as many people overlook these basic maintenance parts.

Yeah, I was talking about a LS/VTEC swap. I have heard it called the LSR around my area, I guess like SiR or something like that. Oh well, i will stop calling it that :D I heard that there are reliability issues, but it sounds like the way to go in order to create a strong running n/a engine.
