Default The answer to the fogging up headlights

my headlights were an ugly yellow dull color untill my grandpa thought of something to clean it off. the answer.. TOOTHPASTE! at first i didn't belive it so i tried it for myself. the results were night and day difference. one of my headlights looks new and the other maybe needs one more try but still it was worth the few dollars in change for a tube of toothpaste.

just get a cloth and put some toothpast on the light and scrub hard. if you have a buffing wheel it might work better but all i had was an old cloth. then after you give it a good scrubbing rinse it off. it might take a few trys to get it to work but you should notice a difference the first time you rinse it off. as to what kind of toothpast to use i used crest with scope plus whitening.

here is the after picture of the best looking one. i didn't really belive it would work so i didn't take a before picture. but you probably know what it looks like anyways with its ugly yellow dull color.

as for the write up its pretty simple all you do is put toothpaste on the cover and scrub really hard with a cloth or buffing wheel if yuo have one for about 2 min then rinse it off and do it again if nessesary. if you want to get creative with brands of toothpaste or different flavors like let me know hot it turns out. like i said i used crest whtening with scope the mint kind.

The reason this works is because tooth paste does have some polishing aggressiveness to it. Not enough to damage the enamel on your teeth but enough to get the crap off. So when you put it on your head lights it is about the same as putting on a very mild polishing compound.

Cheers.
