Why wont my ABS light in my 97 Honda Accord Ex go out?
I have done everything to fix my car to go through emissions over the past couple months. On my way up there, the ABS light comes on. I get the brakes fixed, but its still on. The car is reading "no codes" when the diagnostic is done. What else can be wrong? I need help !!!
Well there's obviously something wrong with it. Just because you "fixed the brakes" doesn't mean that you fixed your ABS problem. Check to see if one of the ABS sensors is out, check the ABS control unit. There's far too much to cover until you pinpoint the problem a little better.
You'll have to jumper the Blue 2 pin connector above the passengerside kick panel, then turn on the key to check the 'flash' code. The ABS light will come on for 2 seconds [self test] then go off for 2 seconds then come back on and flash the primary number, then shut off 1 second and then flash the secondary number.
