99 board b16 throwin code 22 (V-tech pressure control)
99% of the time that code is thrown on those 99-00 Civic Si coupes when they are LOW ON OIL.
Check your oil, and if it's low add the amount needed to get the level up to the top dot on your dipstick. then disconnect the negative battery cable or pull the ECU fuse out of the underhood fuse box to resest the check engine code.
If the oil level was low you're either leaking it or burning it. It's totally common for the B series VTEC engines to consume/use oil even if you never see smoke from the exhaust.
If the oil level is perfect and you've still got that code, then that sucks for you. Usually the VTEC oil pressure switch is bad, or the VTEC valve screen is stopped up with debris.
Try the oil first before you go trying to run a complete diagnostic flowchart on the VTEC system.

It's also (rare) an actual indication of an oil pump on it's way out or something clogging the oil pickup..... but most likely it's ^^the above^^
i shouldnt be low tho i changed it a week ago then checked it 2 days ago an i was fine....but my car does burn oil and it smokes blue but my whole engine is rebult can you tell me whats up with that...ive talked to a few people and theyve basicly told me that my fuel to oil racio isnt right?
Basically blueish smoke from your tailpipe is oil.
Why?
Either you've got bad/improper clearances in the cylinders in terms of pistons, rings, cylinder walls, or you've got leaky valvestem seals or out of spec valveguides - or a combination of both problems.
There is no simple solution. The only thing to do is replace the engine, or rebuild it and make sure all the clearances in the bottom end are correct, and this time have a machine shop replace valve guides (usually exhaust wear out first) and do a complete valvejob and replace valestem seals.

void that other comment...thanks tho man i checked my oil and was low but i dont understand how im burnin it so much...ive been runnin 5-20 valvoline what do you recomend. im jus really gettin started in the b series world so if you could give me a few pointers

Exactly what miah said - I run 5W30, and if you've got that type of oil consumption going on I'd go with 10W30 until you can find another engine or have someone else (besides who built your current one) rebuild yours.
Don't let one bad B series engine ruin your view on them. My personal opinion is that for a daily driven terror I try not to build the engine unless I absolutely must. I trust a Honda factory build more than any other build. If you can find a good deal on a low mileage used B series I'd go for that and then eventually over time try and rebuild your current engine.

well i got an extreemly good deal on the car...i got a 95 civic 4 door its gray with rainbow flakes rims body kit wing and a built b-16 swap that was just put into it...but who ever built this engine messed up bad beacuse supposivly its stroked to a 1.8 but it isnt sleeved and your not supposed to stroke it but 81 over unless you sleeve it and 1.8 would be 84 i dont understand but im prolly gonna do like you said an order a jdm from japan and build this engine for the hatch i got.
