Not if you value your already inexpensive paint job.

Take it off with a platic bondo blade, and remove the excess with Adhesive and tar remover.

Duno why people are doing this. I like the Civic emblem, its a cool script unlike some of the past civics... *reflects to the script civic emblem on the mid 90s i think*

I guarantee there are at least 1 or 2 people who's whole job is creating the fonts for new Hondas..I say leave it on.

If not, use sring or fishing line to gently remove it. then some Goo-Gone, then wax.

I would remove mine, but from past do-it-yourself misadventures I think I will leave it. Unless you know a buddy who can do it professionally (that I don't). I would'nt go out and pay some stranger X amount of cash to get it done

Safest way (other than leaving it) is use WD-40. Let it soak into the glue for 15 minutes and then use your fingers to start prying it off. If it doesn't come off easily, soak more WD-40 onto it (wipe excess oil of course).

Once it's off. Wash the area well and then use a cleaner and finally wax it.

I did.

My friend used a heating gun to melt the adhesive and then
used regular floss to cut the adhesive from the back of the
emblem. Then it was easy to get the emblem off and then
wiping whatever is left on the trunk. Then wax where the
emblems were for a good clean look. No scratches or anything
on my trunk, except for the reminding Red H that I put.

If it's new enough it will just come off....if not use a hair dryer to warm it up...don't concentrate in one area...take some dental floss and work behind it cutting through the adhesive. Goo Gone will remove any residue. The only holes are behind the H...2 of em.... I took mine off the first week and it just came off by pulling it

When I put the red H on mine, I just tore the back
of the red h's studs and just let the adhesive do its
thang to stick on my trunk. lol

use Dental Floss to remove emblems...works the best, then wash off excess glue which is not much if done right...

Sure, use a razor blade. While you're at it, do it the H on the trunk too. Then take it to the front bumper Si badge as well. You might hate yourself at the end of the job.

Seriously, use a hair dryer and heat it up, use some dental floss. Take some goo gone to the left over adhesive.

I couldn't agree more. Theres a couple things they should have done. The shift boot with red stitching, the red valve cover, Red H Emblems all around, the HFP S/S muffler w/ bigger exhaust, bigger headers, lil more comression "11.5"and finally remove the Si badges and replace with Type R Badges and just make the damn thing a Type R. Anyone with me. ???? Dont get me wrong I am not complaining with what we get in the Si. I love it. But I dont think it would be that much harder to go ahead and make it a Type R. I could be wrong
