ls1 under 4K for a good one and makes over 300 HP wheel.

install is just a drop in. I did my crx ls1 swap in about 5 hours.

Holy crap on the LS1 swap, do you have pictures of that? Or is my sarcasm meter not working today ? To the OP, your argument that you need the most powerful for not a lot of money leaves you with few options like the ZC or a mini-me (both not much more powerful than a stock motor but cheap)... search around to get a good idea for prices for motors, ECUs, motor mounts, etc.

there really isnt a "best motor"

"most powerful" and wont cost a lot dont belong in the same sentance

figure out what you want out of the car, and how much money you want to spend. Then do LOTS of researching, doesnt matter if its the internet, books from a library or local people. Once your done with all that, then come and talk

good luck

Holy crap. Im suprised the flamers havent gotten a hold of this post yet. Im sure they will or they might just be too tired of flaming this same post over and over and over and over and over and over and over again.

Your best bet. SEARCH. Look up some engine codes..... then look up the swap instructions...... then do it..... There arent many swaps that will just give you a thousand horse power for cheap. And i was being sarcasting on the thousand hp. Horse power isnt cheap. So if you want good horse power dont be a cheap bastard and do a K swap or something. Oh and your definition of "cheap" might be different than to joe shmoe that works at mcdonalds and lives pay check to pay check.

im gonna vote b16a1 as best for price / power. they go for around 1000-1300 for a full swap.

you need to start from the bottom up. single cam zc non vtec should be your choice right now. are you drunk man your on a roll you should be extra crispy right now lol. anyway relax and clear your head from that rice a rony you ate earlier. get your ek front end dreams out of your brain and the most powerful engine for cheap wet dreams. its apparant that you dont know **** so start off easy. get yourself a single cam zc and leave the front end alone. end of story i dont want to see you posting anymore garbage and search.

LOL dayum it is a boosted f20c aswell. Good work.

To the OP. cheap, and powerful usually don't go hand and hand. You get what you pay for. I paid allot so I got allot.

I took Fast and Reliable, in my crx(K20A), and Cheap, and Reliable in my hatch(D16Z6). Mabey I'm getting old, but rliability seems to be a big thing for me these days.
