skunk 2 camshafts?
hey guys i own a 02 si and i was juss wondering if skunk 2 camshafts are any good? right now my set up is dc sports race headers, skunk 2 exhaust, AEM short ram intake...can u guys think of anything that would help me out besides the camshafts?
i dont think skunk 2 are the best cause they are made out of the spec of jdm type r in japan (same builder) i do prefer crower stage 2 or toda with a retainer and valve kit if you had a hondata you will need it to rev up to 8700 rpm (damn yeah 8700 ) !!

Toda doesn't make any cams for the K20A3.
The Crower stage 2 cams haven't been out long enough i don't know of anyone that has tested them out yet.
Also do u want to be revving a stock bottom end K20A3 to nearly 2000 rpm more then the stock redline?
As far as the Skunk2 cams for the A3 i have only heard about one person with them and he is having somoe major problems with his car so i wouldn't judge by his numbers yet.

1) They are the only ones made for the ep3 besides other costly products.
3) They dont make ITP cams or bc for a k20a3
4) unless you wanna blow the motor listen to this tool
**5)** Your an idiot and dont post if you dont know the answer to a question and act like a hard *** and know everything.

Haven't heard anything about the performance of them, but on ephatch.com there is a member trying to sell a set of skunk2 cams. Plus they're skunk2, they've got a good rap.

I think his numbers r still a little low since he is having some major problems with his engine. I think with his combo should have had at least 15-20 more hp out of the engine.

First thing you need to do is sell that short ram and get a cold air.
The cams will be as good as the tune. It all depends on the purpose of the car? DD, auto cross, Dyno queen?
If you plan to go forced induction hold off on the cam shafts for now and get a k-pro. In fact before you go any further and you are serious about tuning your car get a k-pro. No matter what you put in or on that motor it is going to REQUIRE tuning to be effective and safe.
If you have your heart set on camshafts Skunk2 makes a good product with a good tune, Toda also makes a good set of shafts, but if you do plan on camshafts I would upgrade my srings and retainers first. Even skunk2 recomends upgrading the valvetrain before cam work.
Remember, the parts you put on are only effective with the proper tune, you put a k-pro in the right hands and the sky is the limit.
Oh, and if Honda/Acura made the redline 8200, I think they did it for a reason.
Upgrade then raise the redline.
