i would like to hear everyone's opinion about aftermarket steering wheels. specifically this one that i am looking at on ebay.

if you dont have anything to say about that one than just talk about your experiences with aftermarket steering wheels in general. the pros and cons, etc.

I have to agree with the "wonder" part of this. If it was something like coilovers I'd say "DEFINATELY NOT." - but it's not. On the same token...will it fall off while driving? Hrm, just my opinion but that would really suck. I wouldn't buy an ebay header or exhaust setup or coilovers, but a steering wheel...I'm not sure, I mean theoretically it shouldn't matter, but if the hub is crap or something and snaps and all of a sudden your car doesn't steer you may be faced with a slight delema.

I'd like to know feedback from pple who have purchased an ebay steering wheel.

On one hand it doesn't seem like it'd matter much, on the flipside your insurance company can decline your insurance because you removed the stock airbag - and if you crashed b/c the steering wheel fell apart and then don't get paid out b/c of the same steering wheel.

I'd like to buy sparco quick release but I can only think that it will probably cost like 50,000 dollars . I mean if you consider name brand **** small is expensive as hell.....like ******* spoon oil caps for 60 bucks which is absolutely rediculous IMO - so a steering wheels' probably rediculously high .

If I did a steering wheel swap I'd have to check w/ my DMV and insurance company to check the problems, see if they would jack my insurance, see a cop could give me a hard time.
