i have a b16a2 in an 89hb.everything is converted to obd0,i just purchased an obd1 ecu,dizzy,and the piggyback for obd0 to obd1 conversion.my question is how many o2 sensors do i need if i convert to obd1 and if i need 2 what is the exact position for them? i have 4-1 headers so the only spot are at the bottom of the header and on the front of the cat.i serached for this but didn't get an exact answer,i don't to screw it all up and have to do it again. i only have one o2 sensor now and its on the bottom of the header,my gas mileage sucks,its rich,the idles rough, definite hesitation and the cel is on for code 6 (ect sensor)which i am changing this weekend.so any help(pics if possible or threads)thanks.

 

One O2 right before the Catalytic converter. I know it goes without saying but it needs to be four wire.

 

cool i just need one and i need to get a new o2 sensor(four wire) and thats all,and it goes on the header,not the cat?and the four wire o2 should be wired how?does anyone have a diagram?if not im sure there is one some where on here thanks

yeah buddy you need 1 4 wire heated o2 sensor...

the stock 1 wire o2 sensor wont work right with obd1
