Default what do you guys think?

ok, so since i spun a bearing, i am changing out the crank and rods, all eagle, and im putting a set of skunk 2 cams in it.. what difference will i feel? and what do you guys think about it?

Is this an LS? It might be cheaper in the end to pick up a new shortblock, even a b20. Then go from there.

I think that your bottom end will be ready for a good set of forged pistons. If you are already in there, you might as well do it. As for the cams, without knowing which profile, which motor/head, and other modifications it is hard to say. I think that you can expect a strong motor, that has the potential to withstand good power.

I agree with Tornadom, if you can afford it i would up the compression a bit and get some nice pistons as well.

Are you going to be running stock valvetrain and exactly what skunk2 cams are you going to be running.

But it seems like your on the right track. Goodluck with the build.

if you wanna go for it, bore it over to a 2.0 or get the b20 bottom end, you will love the extra torque. I swapped my ls after it was hassling with me and put in a jdm-spec b20, and the torque difference is very considerable. Good luck with whatever you do man.

Im not sure about this, but don't the S2S2 cams need a bit higher compression to get more out of them?
