need some help- Shifter Shaft seal installation??

need some help- Shifter Shaft seal installation??

To install the shiftet shaft seal do you have to remove the tranny and the guts to get to it, or can you just pull the linkage and put it in- I pulled the linkage and put it in but it didnt really fit correct?

B series should be external so you shouldnt have to remove the trans

its external, but i went to a tech and he said hed look into it because sometimes on cars you have to pull the tranny apart- I searched tho and found out you dont -
