I know someone that has a YZF for sale... I had a FZR1000, first year delta box. She was okay, fast as all hell, not a great handler

they look good, in a bad kind of way.

imo, looks: f3 > fzr 600 > yzf 600r (assuming thats the yzf-600 you're talking about)

if it were me, id opt for the fzr.

get an f3 if you want a more 'modern' look.

I'd take a YZF600 over an FZR any day. As a matter of fact, I have one!

The styling of the 1991-1992 is better.

F3>FZR.

you should be finding decent condition F3's for 3000 easy.

then again, since the F2 is pretty much the same bike you could def find a nice F2 for under 3000. I'm in the process of selling my somewhat beat up F2 for 1800. (and all the stuff they changed on the F3 will easily fit on the F2 like the rear shock, engine, plastics, and AFAIK the front end.)

i looked at the fzr as a first bike, and after researching for a while i found that they are prone to tranny problems.

I say get it. That bike will teach you everything you need to know and doesnt bite back. Perfect amount of power to still keep up with all the 600's when riding around town. It turns in great. gets great gas milage and since it was in production for 10 YEARS, excess parts are abundant. It only has tranny problems when its abused. if your getting a bike just for its looks then your heading down the wrong path. these bikes are ment to be taken to the track and ridden not just to look nice while cruising through town with your "gear on" (your sunglasses and riding gloves)
