Got my Civic Si Honda Factory ECU flash - Two thumbs up
Well, the throttle hang and sudden drop off that ticked a lot of people off is a thing of the past. It took a while to convince my dealer that there was a flash upgrade for the car and I had to explain that they needed to get the latest Honda diagnostic software for their laptop. But once they agreed to do it everything went swell.
The increase in revs when you push in the clutch to shift is completely gone. The rev hang went from about 1.5 seconds to almost nothing. It's almost as good as driving a cable throttle. The biggest gain is that the behavior of the cruise control is greatly improved. Much much smoother when cresting a hill or starting a climb.
Also, I can now get a little lift-throttle oversteer when I want, not 2 seconds after!!
It took them about 45 minutes to do the upgrade - about 25 minutes to upgrade the laptop software and 20 minutes to actually install the ECU reflash. And, of course, it was free.
If you haven't already get it done ASAP - you will be happy.
regards,
Alan

Nice. Is your car in the VIN range? I am wondering because I know that I have this problem, but my VIN is in the 9000s. I see that you are from Lancaster. Bump for a local. Where did you get your si from? What color? I have a habi red and I am in Gap/Parkesburg area alot.
Also Habi Red from Faulkner Honda in Harrisburg PA but got the service at Apple Honda in York PA (who are excellent BTW)
My VIN is in the 2000-3000 range
