It's pretty straight forward, if you're doing it to add the VTEC onto your non-VTEC engine it's called a mini-me swap (putting a VTEC head on a non VTEC engine).
There's some good write ups if you look around.

Also might wanna refer to this one from time to time if you get stuck - I feel it's more thorough. Please note that this one is for a 92-95 though, the principles are the same, I would follow the 96-98 one (the first one) - but if you get stuck, you could always look at that second link and see if you can find an answer b4 creating a topic.
