Just like the title says...are these rare/hard to find?

It was a dealer option, not a factory option so that would attribute to the rarity of them I suppose. My Prelude has leather.

 

IIRC there have been some other threads where people have said that they got upholsterers to convert exisitn gcloth seats.

I have also seen leather seat covers (prelude specific) for sale on ebay which are what the upholsterer would fit to the prelude seat.

I grabbed a mint 99 SH lude with 44k miles w/ leather option with the nice honda logos on em... It was the only one I could find with leather within about 750 miles last year.. so I would think rare.

 

Afaik in Canada all SE and SH models had leather + heated seats. For Base models, leather was an option, heat was standard.

Yea some models in Canada had leather, heated seats and mirrors.

See, dealer option. My leather seats don't have Honda logo's anywhere....

 

Its right on the mid support and its kinda like its branded into the black leather.. Nordic mist + black leather interior ftw.. I have been told that the accord leather seats look the same but ive got leather trim on the doors and such.. and thats definatly not going to be the same from accord to prelude.

 

was leather an option for the base model in canada? i thought you had to get an sh for that. btw we had leather in the se model cuz we never got sh's in 01. o well, i have an sh, comes with leather, wooo.

 

on my SH i have leather seats with H logo looks good but i love 4 gen sits more

 

my SH has black leather also, I hate the 4th gen seats.

 

My 5th gen has leather but it's aftermarket. It was about $800 for the seat covers if i remember and a good bit of time to put them in. I think they complete a prelude interior nicely. Without the leather seats, the interior looks dull.

There is one for sale around my area that has leather and vtec sowed into the head rest.

 

It was also a dealer option from Honda France ( europe ) where i got my Prelude BB9 from.No logo's in the seats, but OEM Honda according to the dealer.

 

omg that **** looks the interior look so muc better

 

I wish I had factory leather but I do have heated cloth seats and heated mirrors

i have leather in my 98 base with DOHC V-TEC stched in them, i think it makes the interior look a lot better and i have not seen another one around me with the leather

 

ALL Canadian Preludes came with heated seats and mirrors.

SH (after a certain year) and SE Preludes came with leather seats.

I got my seats from a 2001 SE Prelude -&gt;



I'll probably be selling mine soon since my car will become a track dedicated car anyhow...

All of those dealer options leather seats are non Honda OEM.....They just get some company to reupholst the cloith ones.
