i hate my stock seats
buy my fake bride brix II seats! I feel the same way; BB6 seats are the least comfortable seats EVER! I wish I found some nice seats in beige. I think my only chance is to change out the carpet to black or see if RSX seats fit in my car properly.

I couldn't agree more. My *** goes to sleep after about an hour in these BB6 seats. They're in my teg, but I modified the seat bolt holes to match the Prelude seats. Looking forward to hearing about the RSX seats, and other swaps.

oh yeah about that BB6 i have them leather and after driving for a while ur *** feels like ur seating on a brick for an hour without moving around i love my 4 gen seats. by the was my girl has 99 accord V6 coupe and she has leather seats but they are ok better then my BB6
ive heard people say the 3rd gen seats are amazing, i think my 4th gen seats are decent, and ive heard the 5th gen seats suck.... how do they keep gettin worse?
i heard something about recarro having a hand in the design... idno if thats true tho.

4th gen seats are great, I have some in my hatch. The stock leather seats in my BB6 are OK for everyday driving but suck for any kind of distance. I've never sat in 3rd gen seats.
I took the springs (shown below) out from under the seat, and although I haven't done a long drive test yet, I can tell you they feel much better. I'm not a big guy (155 lbs.) and have a narrow butt, and the G5 seats always felt like I was sitting on a board. Now, with these springs out, my butt sinks down in the seat more and it feels much more supportive. I'll update after a long drive test.

That's cool. I thought about RSX leather to match the rest of my interior. I hope they sit lower than the 5g seats. Ouch! sorry, my back hurts from those damned 5th gen seats!
Stop Gangsta leaning while your driving and you'll be fine....LOL
I love my 4th gen seats though...very comfortable...more comfortable then my gsr seats.

i just got the rsx seats installed yesterday, they sit higher than the stock 5th gen seats and that is the only problem i have with them. They are really comfy and hold much better. I am tall so i sometimes touch the ceiling while adjusting or something but besides that i have no complians, they look pretty cool too
. I will post some pics tom after i clean my car.

Personally I wouldnt take out the springs from your seat cushion, as these support your back and your thighs during all types of driving. Without them they can cause significant damage to your spine and pelvis area in the event (I hope not) of an accident.
A much better alternative would be to fit S2000 front leather seats. I have done this to my Gen4 VTEC but havent heard of anyone doing this conversion to their Gen5. The only real alternative is to change the seat to something else that is aftermarket - Recaro, Bride, Sparco, Momo etc.
Good luck anyway.

where are these springs located exactly? im thinking about removing them if they really help, i have a 2 hr drive from school to home that ill be making about once a month and my back is dead after about 20 mins and my *** is numb
The springs are fitted to the cushion frame and support the foam cushion, that supports your butt.
They are located at the front and rear leading edges of the metal cushion pan that your slide rails mount to.
