it will fit if you grind the case. only takes a few min. you will need either a gsr or itr final gear to match. why are you using an ls tranny?

Are you going turbo'd? That could be the only reason why id use the ls trans, I plan on doing the same thing :-)

just what i have to work with at the moment, and finding a cable gsr is imposable and expensive.

so i can't use the ring gear from the ls.......

the ls final will only accept lsd's made for an si or ls ring gears. it wouldn't be that much to buy a 99-00 si or 92-01 gsr gearset, and installation would probably be included in whoever does your tranny work. this way you have a complete short geared tranny with lsd. in fact i have a 99 si gear set for sale.
ls trannies are crap for any race car. my turbo car has the equivelent of a type r tranny. i am running an ls tranny on my gsr powered da, just because i don't want to deal with finding one. car is a daily driver and doesn't need to be fast.
