Default Front end feels loose

At about 80mph my front tires feel pretty loose with the steering wheel on-center. Its not noticeable below 80. The steering wheel stays straight on straight roads so I don't think it is the alignment. I have Falken Azenis 215s that are worn but still have about 3/16" tread left.

Any ideas where I should start? Tires, Alignment, wheel bearings?

you sure this isnt just your tires "tracking" in the grooves, dips, inconsistencies of the road? my last set of tires "tracked" all over the place after they were worn.

I'm hoping thats what it is...but it happens at 80 consistently. The front end feels disconected...is that likely with these tires?

Put the car on a hoist or jack.

Check for play on the wheels bearings, check for play on the tie rods, rotate the tires (front to back), rebalance the wheels, check alignment.

Good luck.

I checked them the other day...maybe im not sure what to be looking for. The wheels didn't seem to move when the car was in the air.

I rotated the tires..I think one was over inflated (even though I check regularly). It was worn to the wear bars in the center. Problem solved temporarily
