ZC 3rd and 4th in the D series trannies Who has them
Whos running the ZC 3rd and 4th gear what u think of it. And other questions were can i get the 3rd and 4th ZC syncros from??
Ok cool im gonna do the ZC 3rd and 4th see how it works try the syncros i have now then maybe this winter upgrade to the Gear speed ones
if for some reason you end up with a 1988 tranny with the 20 splined mainshaft, let me know. I have a few 1.944 zc mainshafts.
Also, I know that I PM'd you the info, but just in case someone else is searching in the future, please note:
all internals with the exception of the gears are the same on these cable d-series transmissions.
synchros, synchro hubs, bearings, etc all are the same parts. The only difference is the axle seals and MAYBE the differential bearings

I ran the ZC third with a stock 4th, then with a 1.172 4th. Like it way better than my stock Y7 3rd. Had a 4.7 FD and topped out 3rd at 73 or so mph.
