b16 into 91 crx si
so i have a wierd question...
i am putting a b16a into my crx and besides wiring vtec do i have to do anything else.... i know its plug and play with my SI harness.... but a friend something about crank angle sensor so im just curious....
thx in advance

ok then all you gotta do is add the wires for vtec solenoid, vtec pressure/w ground wire, knock sensor, and 2nd o2 sensor,,then pin those wires into the ecu clips and thats about it...also you may have to extend a wire or 2 but thats about it.

because the stock obdo pr3/pw0 ecu looks for 2 o2 sensors...you'll notice the stock b16 header has 2 o2 sensor bungs on it...1 plugs into the stock crx connector but the other will need to be wired in..
You dont have to hook it up,,but the car will not run right,,and it will bog

then can i ask where to hook the second one up too??? becuz my header has a spot for one and my high flow cat doesnt have a bung???

factory location is on runners as shown there.
what mr. speaker is talking about is a factory pr3 ecu will look for that second o2 sensor. its best to use it. or chip the ecu not to look for it.
that is 100% true, so do ir right.
I've head you can just tap the wire for the secondary O2 into the Primary O2 wire, anything wrong with this method? ECU still gets 2 readings just from one sensor...

yeah you can do that but it wont run right...with the ecu it sees the air mixture for each pair of cylinders seperatly,,so if you do it like that it will run either rich or lean,,you'll notice bogging,,etc,etc..
if you dont want to deal with the o2 sensors then just chip the ecu to see 1 or no o2 sensor

Cool, thanks for the info
