so i wrecked my bike last night.....
so last night i was at work and business was slow so i took my bike for a spin around the parking lot(empty) with no helmet. everything was fine untill i leaned my bike and i practiced my braking. to make a long story short i overbraked the front and fell at 15 mph. the results were a bent handle bar, cracked crankcase cover, and my throttle is stuck. when i twist it, it wont snap back like it should. im a fairly new rider, it was a very dumb mistake. but im thankful i didnt slide into the curb. the parts are cheap, and its not that much damage done so ill have it back on the road this friday. ill post pics tomorrow
hey man
sorry to head.
hope you are ok and just know that everyone takes a fall sooner or later!
Just glad to hear that you were practicing those life saving skills!

yea. you got lucky. but youve learned your lesson so now youre a better rider for it.
always use a helmet, most newbie crashes i'd say happen below 20mph because that is when a bike is least stable.
have fun and ride safe.

I just passed my msf today actually and I'll always keep that in mind. Well I actually learned my race theory from the original gran turismo manual and than going faster.
all about the friction circle and all that jazz. cant brake and turn at the same times etc.

Not always........
If it is leaned over, you just cant apply as much brake - the bike will turn much better if you are trailing the front brake into a turn. But, you should practice your braking upright, in a straight line until you are comfortable with it. I was practicing 100+ mph stops yesterday
