I just finished my friends swap which was a B16 into his 88 CRX DX. I had to rewire most of it for MPI and a few of the distributor sensors. We finally started it up last night and it was running hella lean and doesn't really want to rev up. I'm pretty sure i have all the wiring correct but the only thing i wasn't really sure on was the CYP+/- pins on the distributor. The TDC and CKP pins on the plug are negative on the top side and positive on the bottom and since the CYP was on the end i just wired it in the same way as the others. The car is also throwing a code 14 (IAC) but i checked the IAC and it seems to be okay. Are JDM codes any different then say a 90-91 Integra. His ECU is a PR3 and i was wondering JDM codes differ from that of US. I would appreciate any feedback! Thanks in advance.

Yea my friend and I both go to Centennial High School on 182nd and we both live just up the hill. His CRX is white and has been rolling on some gay *** Focals because the stock tires are too scary to drive on. There are a few white ones that go to our school but i think his will be the cleanest once he gets rid of those wheels. Oh yea and we were running the stock MAP sensor for awhile but then i hooked up one that i had and it seemed to run a little better. There are still some problems and the motor is detonating a lot. I'm sure I have all the connections right the only thing i need to clarify is what positive and negative on the distributor plug. Also cylinder #2 was filled with gas to the point that the motor wouldn't even crank over.

 

coos.. does your friend live on 181st? cuz that house.. i can't remember.. it was christmas since the last time it was up there.. i dont' think it was white though.. and i remember there are like always like 3 cars there.. it's maybe... 2 blocks from there...? really near haig street.. right before haig street to be exact.. well anyways.. you ever seen that red ek with the rice white rims, lowered? hehe.. thas my sisters car.. or it was... gone now.. good luck

 

Damn dude if your sister had a red EK with white wheels and she sold it like a few months ago and she lives near our school it may be the hatch that my friend bought. I think it was a 97 but now he has GSR twisties and a SiR front lip on it. Did it have side markers and a weird muffler on it with 2.25" piping? Anyways i'll talk with you later. Peace
