Default How much would you pay?

One of my buddies friend has a 05 r6 with 650 miles on it that has scratchs on the clutch casing from dropping it in a parking lot. the side fairing also has tiny scratchs on it. I think I can get this bike pretty cheap but how much do you guys think its worth? (kbb = 6800)

kbb retail is 6800 and trade in is 4700, it doesnt take into consideration the mileage though. On the phone the guy said he wants to just get out of the bike scene becuase his buddy just got hurt on his bike. I asked him how much he is thinking around up or down a couple hundred and he said 5000, how much should i take with me to look at it and how much should I start my offering you think?

show up with 100's. do some talking in the beginning. "oh, what price were you thinking of? well here's what i brought with me." pull out the cash, and see what he does from there.

if you dont, i will. me and mr. penguin are in a roadtrip kinda mood.

i would suggest writing a check, paper trails r always safer. if you must do cash be sure and write up some sort of contract/reciept and copies for each party and both sign each copy, its just safer when dealing with this much money.

If you get a bike and title it doesn't really matter. Most (at least the smart ones) sellers will have a bill of sale signed saying "as is"; even if you want your money back you aren't getting it.

I usually do bill of sale with cash, he owes money on it so he doesnt have the title yet, this is how i did it with my last bike and it worked fine. just have a good bill of sale with witness signitaures and what not. I think ill take 5000 and start with 4500, this all depends on the damage though.
