Default My first time Auto-Xing

I have some pics and vids of my first time auto-xing. I met alot of really cool people there and will be one of the regulars.

There were no other civics there at all and most of the cars were modded. There were even 2 cobalt ss's supercharged, but the were slow in the twisties. My best was a 48:30 and the cobalts were running like 50's. There were alot of subaru's out there whoopin on everyone. The only subaru's i could beat were the Impreza RS's. I think i did pretty good for my first time. It may look slow when ur watchin the vids but trust me it's alot faster when ur in the car. I was pushin it as hard as the stock tires would go. Enjoy!!

Right now, I am the points leader in G Stock in the Nebrasa Region SCCA. Si's with a set of tires, catback, and panel filter... Nothing better!

Lowered the ride to get less body roll, you'll like
the feeling if you hit those turns again.

You dont need a suspension yet. The stock is sufficient. Look into getting some mods that will keep you in your class. There is very little out there in G Stock that can keep up with the Si's. I would look into getting some Hankook RS2's, Any catback, and a K&N Panel filter... THat right there, is the winning combo! You will dominate your class!

Bahahaha... the new Si is NOT the end all in GS... sorry to burst your bubble. If you are dominating your class with those add ons you are either the next Sam Strano or Jinx Jordan, or your region has a pretty pathetic car/driver combinations.

Mini Cooper S
VW GTi
Celica GT

Need I go on?

Hankook RS2? Really? A tire thats not only a 1/2 second slower than the RT-615, but also oh 2-3 seconds slower than the 710s or A6s or any R-comps.

I am sorry, but in the hands of a good driver, The Mini's have a hellova time competing against the Si
s. As Far as the azeni's go... I would rather have RS2's I ran faster on those and they seem to stick better. And as far as R Comps go, sure, he can mount some R comps... just be sure to get another set of wheels unless you wanna keep switching tires every event off your wheels.

I agree with you. The 2005+ Cooper S (LSD) is so dominant here in the Northeast that many Celica GT owners are jumping ship Nationally. Others are hoping the Si can dethrone the Cooper S, but that doesn't seem to be the case right now.

Sure on the right day with the right course, or right driver, any of the above cars can tackle the Cooper S, but at the 2 National events I attended this year (Devens National TOur and DC ProSolo) and the myriad of local events (with good drivers there), the Civic Si hasn't had what it takes to be a winner in GS... Right now, the Si is at least .750 ~ 1.000 second (on average) behind a well-driven Cooper S anywhere I've run this season.

That's why I bought the LX Coupe for National level HS competition. I am having much more success against the base Cooper thusfar as I am either beating them or am within 1/2 second at most.

Anthony I agree with you... beating a Cooper S is going to be hard, but the average Civic Si owner thinks their car is the greatest thing since sliced bread. With the rotation of cars in HS the base Cooper is beatable, but the Cooper S still owns GS and will continue to own.

As for you ImportRacr05... whatever makes you happy. Anyone who has been chasing cones for a considerable period of time will tell you that the Civic Si is not going to own GS, and the RS2s suck when compared to the Azenis.
