radio block off plate question
Well I have a single din radio on my 95 teg w/ the little storage box below it.
Can I put a single din block off plate and still keep the storage box or is my only option getting the dual din block off plate and covering both areas?

they sell double din kits with 1 din open for a 1din deck and the other din is blocked off.
so maybe you can cut off that 1din blockoff and use it to cover your single din? just a thought

Hey smart guy, that's for an EG and wont work on a 94-01 Integra.
On the Integra, the pocket is attached to the radio with some brackets. So if the radio goes, there's nothing for the pocket to hold on to.
So you can either use the double din block off plate OR you can try using a aftermarket pocket that stereo installers use. Then try using the single DIN block off on that. I'm not sure if it'll work though...actually, I doubt it would.

SingleDin/Dual Din are same size width, it WILL fit. ZOMG! Are you saying he cannot extend the brackets for the coin holder? ZOMG Like everyone else has done including myself? ZOMG!!!!?!?! LOL @ people who want to "modify" a car, but are not willing to actually do the fab work. No offense, but do you rock M3 mirrors and altezzas?
And by the way, calling me smart guy is a compliment, I told him the smart thing to do, modifying a COIN TRAY, cmon, I think a man with no arms and legs would breeze through that without a hitch.
I see though now, they make radios for the EG's and DC's, im gonna pick this radio up for the project DC build, you know, because I cant keep the coin tray.
Putting in a caravan radio for all the homies. Pour your 40 out.

The width isnt the issue.
It's the depth, which of course a block off plate does not have....it's just a face.
The brackets on the coin pocket hold onto the body of the stereo. Well, if you dont have a body there, what exactly is the pocket going to secure itself to? ZOMG!
I'm not saying it cant be done. Of course, it can. Easily, actually.
But will it fit as is...no, it wont.
You come off like "You're all idiots, Honda makes a single DIN." When actually it's not that simple. We all know Honda makes a single DIN, that wasnt news to anyone.

It was news to all the first posters other than yourself. LOL Im wrong here? haha The two screws that lip off and go onto the removable mounts on the stero can easily be extended and bolted to the sides of the lower OR upper center console area. I say it can be done in about 20 minutes, including removal of centerconsole/radio/cointray, and modified to work and fit in there nice and tight. Plumbers tape would be the cheap way of going at it to remount/extend the cointray.
I just went ahead and ordered this:

I didn't feel like having to modify a single din blockoff. I would rather just put this in easily and get it over with.
Thanks for everyones help.
