Default torque converter

I have the transmission out of my 93 accord, how can I tell if the converter is bad or good.

how many miles? IF it has a lot (over 150K) just replace it with a new one if you are doing a trans teardown and rebuild.

Look for wet cardboard looking fibers in the solenoid screens, but for the money I'd get a new one.
Whats the whole story here? Why is the trans out? If it was getting plugged up and stalling then there is no doubt about replacement of the TC.
