Question?
Ok me and my family are thinking about buying a Fit as a everyday driver. I have been reading on here what people think about the Fit and so far it seems to be a nice car. But I have a couple questions for you guys to help me before I go buy the car.
1.) She wants a Automatic. How are there automatics? Any problems?
2.) Is the Non Sport model still a good buy?
3.) What kind of mpg are you guys getting?
4.) Any kind of questions I need to ask the car dealer?
5.) I read about the paint chipping issue. Should I throw this up at the dealer before buying?
6.) IS IT WORTH IT?
Thanks for all the help and any complements are welcomed.

Basically, add what you are not getting to the base model, and the Sport is so worth it. Aside the exterior cosmetics, it comes with alarm and keyless entry (very important), 6 speaker audio (basically they added tweeters to the two front doors, and beefed up the deck a bit), 15" wheels (which always look better than hubcaps that stupid annoying kids rip off anyway, the base comes with 14's).
As a side to the 15" wheels, as opposed to the steelies, I think they help with the ride, as to help get rid of some of the sway. It felt a little worse with the 14's, but that is due to increased sidewall.
The main selling point for me was the keyless entry/alarm. On mine, I got the alarm remote built into the key (which is much more common on newer cars) which I like, less bulk on my keychain. The "upgrade" in the base fit isn't as nice, which is just some cheapy aftermarket they throw in at the dealership, and rape you crazy in price.

Well I will say that if an alarm and keyless is your main decision maker... they do have aftermarket alarms and keyless for very little money.
I would rather have a lower payment... add the options I like... and no body kit.
Now... if you can't afford to pay for these add ons of your choice and a slightly higher payment is more up to snuff... then it's a real no brainer.
I will sum up my opinion with: They both have the same motors. One is cheaper then the other. Which one do you like as far as appearance? There's your answer.

Auto is an auto. The Sport has paddles. A nice feature or just drive in D. No problems.
2.) Is the Non Sport model still a good buy?
Yes
3.) What kind of mpg are you guys getting?
I get what the EPA figures estimate.
4.) Any kind of questions I need to ask the car dealer?
Yes. Ask him if he'll accept your out-the-door price/offer. If not go to another dealer.
5.) I read about the paint chipping issue. Should I throw this up at the dealer before buying?
I don't know anything about this.
6.) IS IT WORTH IT?
That's for you to decide. Lots of manufacturers offer good car value.
