High idle RPMs and brake pedal
So here's the story...I took my car out the other day, worked fine. Then I came home, ate, napped and such then tried to go out again after like two hours. Car didn't start. Checked the battery, and the starter. both were fine. Didn't know what it was so I left it alone. This was at one. Later that day at like....ten I just go to start up my car for the hell of it, see if it works. It did. I drove it fine, but I noticed the brakes were going ALLL the way in till it even stopped it. Did NOT feel like my car. Whatever. Turned it on last night an my idle RPMs are at 1200, not the usual 750. I revved the engine to see if it was going to shut down on me...and it didn't. But when I tried to go to my friends house down the street...SMOKE lots and LOTS of SMOKE. Plus the brakes were worse. What could it be? ANY suggestions or ideas would be GREAT. I need it fixed FAST because it is my daily driver.
what color smoke? and check if your vacume lines from the break booster are leaking check your brake lines too..sounds like you just have a ton of air in your system.

Many people confuse white smoke and blue smoke. It is kind of difficult to tell sometimes.
Blue smoke will often appear white to grey in color. This leads many people to thinking that they are burning coolant, when in fact they are burning oil.
It sounds like you have a brake fluid leak in your master cylinder. This causes the engine to draw in brake fluid and burn it. Check the line to see if any oil residue is in there.
