07 CTR - Will we get it?
No, the USDM Civic Type R will never exist.

I've searched. I dont care if its the Type R or Si model. Im infactuated by that body design/aesthetics/hatchback. I despise the current coupe's body style. It's ok I guess, but not something I would purchase.
For starters...Im not that old and I can purchase a family sedan for the wife when I get married. I love the potential of the k20 (want something to mod because Im keeping my garage ***** stock) and absolutely adore the CTR's look. Second, the Si with navi is around 21k? Thats about half the price of the IS, which means I could use the money saved towards something more important like a home. Third, I need a daily driver since I gave my bmw to my little brother, hence why Im currently eyeballing the IS350 (the only vehicle Im considering purchasing thats currently out in the market). Fourth...wouldn't a civic type r or civic si hatch look good next to my 01 itr?

21k for an si with navi? where is that car lot and whats the phone nbr??? its about 21k for the car with no accessories on it. the navi is an extra 1500+. so u would be looking at about 25k out the door (including taxes etc)
Ok, that is not the Type S for the UK and Europe, its the Type R....

But what are the differences in the Type S and Type R?
I see none, to include looks and body styling cues.......

that looks like the usdm type s that is due out pretty soon. the pics that were already posted for it didnt have the lip kit quite the same. also different rims. google the civic type s and see what it comes up with. wasnt there a post about that on here not long ago?

Looks only a mother could love. Looks like some kind of Volkswagen hydrogen fuel cell car of the future. Dunno what Honda is thinking lately, pushing this CTR, killing the Integra line. If you like this, more power to ya, enjoy it if you can get your hands on it.

First off, there isnt a civic type s... You must be thinking of that sports concept SI that isnt planned for release.
The type R however is a nice looking little piece of machinery... Its gotta haul too sporting the same powertrain as current Civic SI with less weight.
Id like to import one, hopefully someone rich will get all those tests and BS done so we can all import them.

That design rules!!! It is much more exciting than the previous SI as well as the '06

I can't figure out whether I really like it... or am really disgusted at it. Definitely different, can't argue that. I think I'd have to see it in person first. Anyone else reminded of the new VW GTI... at least a little?
*EDIT* nevermind, I don't see resemblance after all LOL

It almost looks like the yellow, black and white example civic type R's are 3 different civic models altogether... the black looks more 'bubbly' and the yellow more closely resembles the 2002-2005 civic hatchback... the white def looks cool, I think. I need to see this in person.
I'm not sure if any of you have seen the new issue of sport compact car magazine, but they have a small article about how the 07 ctr could have the k23 turbo in it. This is purely speculation on their part, but that would be awesome if it did have the k23

I see you edited it, but the new gti looks 100x better than that thing (type-s, type-r, whatever you wanna call it).
The new gti is also an excellent car overall. I drove one on sunday and it is a very well balanced car. Nice torque, decent handling, beautiful interior, and all in all a very good package.
