Well, now that my summer schooling is complete, I decided to take a vacation. I was not sure where to go so I just packed a bag and left. So far I have driven through PA, WV, KY, TN, NC, and am currently on an island about 45 minutes from Charleston SC. My internet is limited by either using my pineapple juice can antenna to find an unencrypted network, or dialing out to a place I know I can logon to.

If anyone around the Charleston area of SC, or Edisto Island wants to meet up, please let me know. I do not have my ITR, but rather a new toy-- a 1995 Acura NSX. I will be down here in the south for a few more days, but then driving back north. If anyone in NC, VA, MD, or DE want to meet up, just let me know.

Bummer. I'll be out of town, otherwise I'd love to meet up. Just hung out with a beautiful 92 Red Comptech Supercharged NSX yesterday with a bunch of type R goodies and Comptech gear. Also met a few NSX owners and previous NSX owners. Great crowd All of which are on NSXprime.com and just about all are track rats.

Had the NSX club of America President press the bearings off my final drive for me Awesome guy!

I'm sure you know plenty of people already, but if you need any kind of info or parts then I'm sure I could help you to get in touch with some really knowledgable people.

<--I do not and have previously not owned an NSX, but I'm more than impressed with the NSX crowd (or "brotherhood"). They are great and trustworthy people.....And a lot of them are just big CAR NUTS!!

 

Come up the coast (via 17 or equiv.) and come thru Va Beach. I'd buy you a beer and show you around town.

LOL.. no, I am not going to parris island. I have no plans of joining the USMC.

I will be leaving here most likely tuesday and heading to north-west SC, then taking a turn eastword towards Carlotte NC.

 

While I am still in South Carolina, does anyone have suggestions on places of interest or neat places to stop at on my way heading NW through the state?

The thought crossed my mind. Then again... it's not exact directions to my house. It would require a left turn then the second right... followed by an additional right at the second stop sign, second house on the left.


(just laying the trap...)

1. Put out bait car...
2. Hide in bushes while drinking Jim Beam...
3. Wait patiently for unsuspected thieves...
4. Shoot thieves and then call cops.
5. Leave before cops arrive.

note to self: put bait car across the street so the cops won't suspect you for shooting them.

But really the car sits out there all the time... over a year in the open and parked where I feel like leaving it.

hahaha ive known for weeks hes had it! ok thats my 2 seconds of fame lol. Brad my head of my R is in pieces right now lol but you and I should meet up anyway man...maybe you can watch me install new valves and put that **** back together!! haha

Hey guys I am posting this one for brad. Evidently the Cantenna is not working correctly. If anyone knows of a good place in Charlotte NC to get tanked at please send him a pm. Also anyone intrested in a classic mental picture. Picture a unshaven and unshowered guy sitting in his 95 NSX in a parking lot with a bug screen over the car and a pineapple juice antenna mounted on a tripod sitting on top while he is sitting inside typing on his laptop. to a classic road trip.

 

Spoke to Brad earlier. I was also one of the few to know about his new "toy"

Seems like he's having a good time, and has already reached his southern most point and is heading back north. He should be at a hotel later with a "real" internet connection.

 

I am currently in Charlotte, NC. The cantenna had its problems picking up the wireless signal at the hotel, but it was easily fixed.

Finally, a shower!

For anyone on the way, here are my plans:

Tomorrow-- Staying in Charlotte since i want to see the city and arrived much later than planned.

Thursday-- I will be leaving Charlotte and taking I-85 into Richmond, VA where I will be spending the night.

Friday-- Leaving Richmond and heading to Baltimore via I-95. I plan to stop in DC for a while, but will be staying the night in Baltimore.

Saturday-- Taking I-83 to the PA turnpike, and heading home.
