Default clutch problem? I need some advice

The other day I was driving my 5th gen prelude and I was in 3rd gear. I pushed it up to redline which is about 7400 and I shifted to 4th gear but something went wrong. After shifting to 4th gear my car bogged (aka it slowed down a lot) then the rpms jumped up way past redline. I confused about what happened. Afterwards my car seems to be a lot louder at idle and at lower gears and driving today the same thing happened. It only seems to happen when I go from 3rd to 4th gear. Instead of the rpms going down, the car bogs and the rpms go up. I've asked a few people and they told me it's because my car's clutch is slipping but I was hoping someone on here with a lot of knowledge on cars knows whats going on.
