Default What's the difference between PG7 and PM6 ECUs

I'm wondering if using a PG7 for a 1.6 DOHC ZC engine would be better than using the PM6. The car has a PM6 on it now but it doesn't seem to run as good as it should. It might be something other than the computer but I just thought it'd be better to have the computer intended for the DOHC 1.6 instead?

Well they're both the wrong ecu's but if i had to choose i would get the pg7 ..just be carefull wit that "redline"

you could always chip the pm6 with dohc zc fuel and timing maps though...external eprom versions are easier to chip

Pg7 would be better suited for your engine.

PM7 would be best. Considering it is made for the ZC.

pg7 is for a 88-89 integra. the DOHC ZC ecu is different. pm7 i think.

pg7 fuel curves are different than pm6. it gives an extra 300 rpm before ignition cutoff.

cant say if its better for the dohc zc, i imagine it would. i dont have a dohc.

but i can say it really doesnt give any more power to the d16a6 sohc, if not less hp. but it does give an extra 300 rpm.

I know the pm6 redline cuts at 6600 or 6800

and I think the pg7 redline cuts at 7200.

I have a ZC; using a pm6 but if I put a pg7 it makes it run lean.

most people use the pg7 on dohc zc's and some say it works better than a pm6. if you want the right ecu theres the pm7 .
