If i put slotted/drilled rotors will it help to eliminate this problem.

 

Yes, so will not trying to pull down form 120 mph in a short distance.

Also, upgrading to a larger rotor will help, as there is more swep area to disapate heat.

yea..no it dosent. slotted/drilled rotors do not help with braking ability. in fact it actually makes the rotor smaller, also weaker (unless you get a rotor that was cast with holes. rare and expensive)

just get brembo blanks, some good pads and fluid. save yourself some money.

 

brembo are the best to use

Think about it.. more holes = less surface area. When the holes are drilled, it lessens the integrity of the rotor. The main purpose for drilled/slotted rotors is to dissipate heat faster. Unless you are regularly tracking your car for extended periods of time, you brakes will NEVER get hot enough to warrant having that hardcore of a brake setup.

Get some brembo blanks, Hawk or Axxis pads, and some new brake fluid and that's all you'll need

 

See now I thought that the main reason they did slots/holes was to evacuate gases that can build up between that pad and rotor, not for heat dissipation.

When I was suggesting larger rotors I ment going to something stock like a set Integra fronts and rears.

 

those gasses havent been seen on any modern brake pad in over 40 years. totally different compounds than when in the 60/70's holes were necessary to vent those gasses.
