was it hard for you guys to install that bought this? (coupe) also, am i going to have to cuz anything out of my car for it to work?

 

It should, and I believe, it is a direct bolt in. But please, for the love of everything intelligent, put a bypass valve on that thing so you can help prevent your motor from hydrolocking.

 

i bought a hydroshield for it, will that do the trick?

 

Is it the one that looks like a hood that goes over the filter itself? If so, then yes, that should take care of it.

whats the diff between HYDROSHIELD x BYPASS VALVE??

 

there is no bypass valve for the R18

 

there is no bypass valve for any of the new CAIs yet. injen has a shield that goes over it like a condom. its water resistant, NOT WATER PROOF. aem has their shield as well. u can order a bypass valve online from ebay that is the same size as ur pipe if u want, then cut ur intake and stick it on there. i wouldnt do it, but thats just my .02

 

Either dont drive in the rain guys or if possible just put the filter on the MAF.

 

Is that the AEM V2? Didd'nt know those were out yet
