Default New DD / Project car EH2!!!

I will start off by saying that i always wanted a civic hatch and i finally got the opportunity to get one.

my car was a 1993 accord lx, stock with 195k miles and a very bad hesitation when accelerating.

i put the car up for sale and started looking for another car. I found the civic that i have now and decided to take a look at it.

1992 civic dx, 135k miles dcsport 4-2-1 header, unkown wheels and cat back (mabey you guys could tell me what they are)

shitty camera phone pics of when i test drove it

The guy offered to trade me cars and throw in an extra 500 for repairs on the civic. so i took it.

Now, this might have been a dumb thing, trading a car as clean and reliable as my accord for a riced out civic hatch that needed some hard loving, but what the hell right?

now for progress and higher res pictures.

Yay all the old interior is out, the hatch leaks so carpet was ruined and the car has ANTS!!!!!!! time to bomb it

And here is a picture of all the pointless wiring to pointless crap that needed to be removed from this rice bucket.

Only issues it has is.

no front bumper and bumper cover
no rear bumper cover
hatch leaks alot (swimming pool anyone?)
wheels are ugly and beat up
painted interior pieces (cluster bezel and the two rear panels where speakers would go)
dash lights go on and off at random, but they are mostly off
projector headlights
z3 fenders

other than that it runs excellent, no smoke, hesitations, overheating or anything.

thanks for looking, all comments accepted. And if someone could tell me what exhaust and wheels it has (if you can tell from the pics)

Some people can actually pull them off.

Not my car, if the owner wants me to take it down I will.

yeah, im getting rid of the z3's projectors, riced interior pieces, wheels.

probably gonna put some gsr blades on it, cut off the muffler and weld another one on, undecided on the one i want, mabey a dual loop muffler.

this thing used to be slammed on some no name coilovers and the underbody shows it.

but other than those little things, this has to be the best running car ive gotten (will be my 4th honda)

yeah i just went through from the inside and found every wire that went to nothing, or a switch that did nothing and cut it out.

if the wire was spliced into something else in the dash i left it there, and im gonna just cut and repliece the two originals back together.

the only things that dont work is the horn and dash lights.

only problem is, inspection ends this month, and i cant pass a safety inspection with no horn

im friends with a guy that is brother with the owner of the local maaco. he said if i prep the car myself, then for 100 bucks i can get it painted and they will even wetsand it

i know its maaco, but they have a "custom red metal flake" that looks like they sprayed it with a spray can and tossed some glitter on it lol

I'd buy a pack of fuses and replace all the fuses on that car. Even if they are fine, chances are something is ghetto on it.

thanks for the info on the wheels.

i fixed all the wiring today, the dimmer switch wires were grounding out from where he installed his tach to it, and the horn is wired in with the SRS system, so it worked after i put in the airbag.

hopefully weds after i install a new axle i will get some bumpers for it

until then thanks for the comments guys
