Default My D16y8 with P72

I've got a D16y8 with a P72. Since I don't have vtec wired up, how much power should I be making?

Will there be a significant difference once I switch the ecu to a P28?

honestly you should be using a chipped p28 with y8 values, the ignition and fuel values are way different on the p72, the p28 would be a better match however the z6 motor the p28 is used on uses 16* of total timing whereas the y8 uses 12*, easy fix would be to have someone chip it and run uberdata or crome with the values for the y8 motor.

I completely understand this. Thanks for the reply, BUT that didn't answer my question at all.

Will there be a siginificant difference in TQ and HP, is what I meant to ask.

you'll notice the car running much better, more repsonsive,no bogging,no more pig rich conditions ,etc....

since you dont have vtec and you're running wrong timing, and probably pig rich im going to have to say you're probably under 80whp (just an est, maybe lower)

Thanks Mr. Speaker. If you were to estimate again, where would you think I should be at once I get the ecu?

well the p28 is still the wrong ecu but with vtec hooked up,,no cel's,normal working engine you'll probably get 90whp-100whp (again just an est)
