Mystery Wheels...anyone recognize these?
Picked these up in a swap, don't know what to do with them. Anyone know where they came from originally? (Yeah, I know...they came from Japan originally...I mean which years and models.) Thx in advance. :-)

they look like the optional wheels that come on our cars

Good website, thx for the link. I figured they be from a specific year and model...but that site just calls them 88-91 CIVIC 13x5 Convex Lacy Mesh, guess that means they were an optional upgrade for any 88-91 Civic / CRX then. Thanks much. :-)

I've got a set of the same wheels you are talking about and they are a bit different from the wheels in the picture. The wheels on the '84-87 cars were made by Enkei and look slightly different.

Ahh, so there is dissension. Looks like the 1st generation Prelude folks have a pretty strong argument...anyone care to challenge?
Thanks for the replies folks...this question has been bugging me for weeks. If they're somewhat common and readily available, I'll use them on my daily driver (high theft area). If they're special, I'll save them (or sell them) and stick to the steelies for the bump-n-grind traffic around here...

I would venture to say they are *relatively* rare; but they aren't necessarily valuable or sought after due to the fact that they are 13" IMO. Now if they were 14" I'm sure there would be MUCH more demand because they would clear the more common brake setups in the Honda community.

I saw that they are still for sale from Honda. I'd be a cool piece to own, but I don't think I'd want to rock them all the time.

I requested a short story for a title.
