The road racing teams of ADS Racing and Zephyr Belski announced today at a joint press conference held in Stephens City, VA, that Zephyr will be piloting the previous 2004 championship ADS Racing 86 CRX. Fresh out of the shop with completely new mechanics and paint, the 2004 and 2005 championship teams unveiled the new car, designed specifically for the upcoming 06 Nationals At Mido.

Sportswriters and reporters were given a short glimpse of the new car, expected by many to completely dominate the 6 car field at the Nationals. Interviews with team owner Clay Harrison revealed that this car was developed with one thing in mind-Bringing home the over 12 dollars in TOTOBUCKS being offered as winnings to the class champion. “We’re very excited by this chance to develop a car with just this one race in mind” stated Harrison. “And we have demonstrated a level of development on this car that is commensurate with the importance of this race”.

Reporters were then given these photographs to use in articles. Team members expressed concern that if given the chance to photograph the car at this stage in preparation, competing teams would have enough time to re-work their cars.

This is huge, with such a great organization such as ADS combined with the legendary skills of Zephyr Belski at the helm, I see an oustanding possibility of them bringing home the nationals!

Because of the recent press conference due to the collaboration of ADS and Belski, teams around the country have started to re-think their competitiveness resulting in one recall of entry, and several team meetings being held to establish a sincerity to go forth stemming just from recent photographs made public showing the level of development of the ADS/Belski machine.

 

Well, don't stop now. You're on a roll.

 

Rolling is about all that tub is capable of at this point!

Actually the car is now capable of moving under it's own power. Drive train is in. Bumper is on as well as the header panel. A few small items are needed but all in all the car is going to be ready for this weekends shake down sessions.

As far as this car going to Nationals I do not think that it is ready.

Ummm yeah, those pictures are actually in Clay's yard.

Quick little progress report. The car now has power and can move on it's own. The multi colored sperm graphics package has been removed in favor of a much simpler all black paint scheme.

Items remaining before the car can go out on track: alignment/corner balance, installation of seat, attachement of header panel and bumper cover, installation of new belts, rewire or replace kill switch. I would like to make some adjustments to the exhaust system.

Sorry about not sending out invitations to the press release party. I knew Clay was working on a bigger party so I decided that the press release party would be a small affair.

The car is together, functioning and right now is turning laps at Pocono for it's shakedown sessions. Staying up to 1am for four nights gets things done very quickly.
