Default Car won't start if started a few times consecutively.

I have a 1991 STD and for some reason the car won't start if I try to start it consecutively 3 or 4 times. If I wait about a min, the car will start back up. Any clue on why it is doing this?!? The car runs rich (which is why I'm guessing that it is doing this) but are there any other variables that I should check?! Also, since there are no mods except for an exhaust, is it possibly that the car is behaving in this mannor

Check the main relay to see if that's the problem. It starts going out slowly, not allowing you to start sometimes, then eventually it'll go altogether.
