Default need LOTS of help..

well as some know my cars been sitting for a long time btw its a BONE STOCK 94 LS so yea dont know how the previous owner took care of it.. yet its prolly my fault since i left it sitting for so long .. and i warm it occasionally theres seems to be A LOT of water and white smoke shooting out of my exhaust... and i mean a LOT my neighbor told me its a bad gasket.. maybe a leak or something... sucks cause i saved so much money for other things and now i got motor problems.. hes telling me I COULD change the gasket and everything in the head.. but he said it would cost a lot.. might as well get a new engine.. what do you guys think??

1. is it worth fixing the head blah blah ??
2. how much would option 1 cost???
3. expletive and buy a gsr motor / better LS engine
4. ls long block??

If it only needs gaskets, and not new piston rings, or bearings, it'd be pretty easy.

How many times have you ran it, and it smoked?

well i couldn't drive it around because i had no brakes but i started it up and there was alwayys this weird smell coming from the exhaust.. plus white smoke and lots of water i thought it was normal since its been sitting long but i guess the smoke said it was the headgasket and would take about over 1K to fix and said i was better off buying a whole new one to avoid problems.. i DROVE it once today for like 3 mins then it SMELLED real bad so i pulled over into the garage and it was shooting smoke and water like crazy.
another problem is iono if my pistons and what other internals were damaged but he said the HG is prolly cracked and leaking

You know a Headgasket is less then $100?
And if you can do it yourself with a couple buddies, it's really not that hard.

i see i wonder why he told me i would need to fix a lot of things in my head.. he told me valves and all that so i would be charged 1k+ if i took it to a shop...

so just replacing the headgasket would solve my leaks?? i should prolly inspect the head for any more damage but i wouldnt' know i'll prolly take pics fo ryou guys to tell me

Valve seals would be oil, So I don't really know what you would need to change in the "head".

How much mileage is on the car, and do you know when the last time things were changed,
such as, waterpump, timing belt, etc?

I would think 180-200, the problem is when you get cylinders far in range from each other.
Make sure you pop out the fuse for the Dizzy, and Injectors, when doing the Comp. Test

If you haven't already, look through the FAQ thread at the top of this section,
There will be plenty to read, so make sure you have some extra time

Also, if this isn't your DD, just pick up a new HG, and do it when the time is good.

If your head needs as much work as you were told it does I would look at it as an excuse to upgrade and consider getting a good b16 head. However if you're new to engine work you need someone that really knows what they are doing for this project.

A) Either the headgasket

B) Buy a LS longblock from HMO and just swap it quick and boost it.

C) B18C1 Swap.
