Default FS: 1991 Honda Civic STD w/ JDM B16a

*mods- I wholeheartedly apologize for posting this here, however i feel that the true value of this post will be lost in the classifieds section- mabye could it stay here for a few days? *

1991 Honda Civic Std HB:

Price: $4995 firm

How i came to the price:
KBB of car in good condition @144k miles: $2565
JDM B16a w/ ecu $1200
HCP mount kit $375
HASport harness $250
Core exch. axles $100
New rotors/ate fluid/aem pads $140
CRX Si hubs/knuckles $50
OEM Honda parts for freshening of motor $100
Koni Yellows $529
Skunk2 Coilovers $285
Greddy SP $469
Recaro SRD w/ bracket $649
Apex' VAFC $315
CRX Si cluster $50
CRX Si steering wheel $20
Skunk2 f/r strut bars $200
DC sports short shifter $80
Spoon Sports chipped PR3 $150
Grand total: $6878

(this is not a complete list of mods, more will be shown during test drive)

The things i am taking off money for that i feel should be addressed for someone who wants to turn this into a nice daily driver:

-The paint. Its 11 years old and could use a touch up.
-Minor body work. Its got a few dings here and there but remains presentable.
-3rd gear synchro & clutch. Introduce me to a S1 that doesnt scratch and ill show you a car that doesnt run
-Tires. The advans a032rs are pretty much gone, and ill be giving you CRX Si wheels as well as the stock 13s with plenty of daily driving tread left.
Thats it, honestly everything else is in well working order.

The ideal person to buy this car, is a person who does not yet have a ED to start with, and is hesitant towards doing their own work on a swap, or does not have the time/place to work on a car doing a job this large. Honestly, and there will be people who disagree, but i feel this car is well worth all the money i am asking for it. Please do not flame, because there are many people who are in the situation where they want a dead on reliable hybrid, and cannot spend the time and do not have the place to do the swap. This is a means of getting a freshly built car, ready to handle the autocross course, the road track and the daily grind flawlessly. All the swap related bugs have been worked out, and has been start up every day reliable in getting me to and from work and where i needed to go.. Just completed a 600 mi round trip to bakersfield 2 weekends ago, averaging 31mpg the entire way.

Keep in mind for those who do not do their own work : This estimation of value does not include labor, which in my best guess for all the work put into it would be well into the thousands, if you include the suspension and seat install as well.

This is a well built car, sacrificing little in the way of making a perfectly streetable, yet kickass on the track 'race' car, as you can tell from the modifications and pictures. Please do not flame, there are other forums for that and i do not want to make any people feel uncomfortable with asking questions.

Thanks for all your help in building this car guys.

I can attest to everything that Todd has said about this car. It truely is a very fun and reliable car. On top of that, anyone who knows Todd, knows how well he maintains his cars. I'd say it's on the verge of obsessive. When he gets bored, he'll polish the damn strut bars! Sorry, Todd, had to throw that in! So whoever buys the car will know that it is maintained as well as any hybrid out there. For under 5k, whoever buys the car will be getting a car that has so much and needs very little. The car pulls very hard, handles like a dream and best of all it's a nice sleeper. Who whould expect a standard ED to perform as well as it does? (and get over 30mpg with a Spoon ECU). I even had the opportunity to drive the car at Buttonwillow Raceway and loved every minute of it!!! If I wasnt such a broke ***, I would swoop this car up very quickly. The simple fact that I wouldnt have to deal with all the issues that go into making a sweet hybrid is worth it to me.
