hi guys, i'm still debating whether to risk getting a high mileage 97+ lude type-SH with the ATTS technology
i've seen two cars with relatively ok pricing and fits my budget
both are type-SH with ATTS and both are 1998 ludes
one has 200,000 km
one has 260,000 km
usually how long does those atts last you before problems shows? what should i look into about the ATTS system?
how costly can it be to fix it if it breaks down?
thanks guys
good night

What are your plans for the car? If you're going for drag racing, the SH is not for you. If you're buying it for DD with minor bolt ons, go for it.
I never heard of the ATTS failing under normal use, only if abused, meaning if you track the car.
To see if the ATTS is working, just start up the car, if you see a flashing ATTS light, there's a problem. I would also take the car for a spin and test it out by hitting some corners/curves. It should handle nicely, but watch out for understeer.
The ATTS can be costly to fix since the Prelude is discontinued. Ask the seller for all the maintenance papers.
Basically, don't buy the car if it was ever modded.
