Default Notchy Gear box and Popping out of Gear

Hey guys,
i got a problem, i put a hybrid tranny in my rex about 700 miles ago, its a dx case and mainshaft, Si counter and ring gear, new bearings throughout. New Xtd Stage 1 Clutch, new flywheel, new throw out bearing and return spring, new pilot bearing, greased releave shaft and mainshaft where throwout sits, everything went together fine, not the first tranny i've put together. Now heres the deal when i took it out for its first drive i noticed it felt very notchy in all gears, especially 1-3 and reverse, kind on like say i wanted to shift from 2-3 i would take it out of second and it would have a slight popping feeling then before i put it in 3rd it would have the same feeling again then go into gear, does'nt matter if i'm upshifting or downshifting. I also have a 2nd gear grind occasionally and another strange issue is it tends to pop out of 1st gear and only 1st gear if i'm deccelerating and especially when making a low speed left hand turn in 1st gear. i know my clutch is adjusted properly and i have a new clutch cable. I took it out for a slight flogging tonite through the mountains and banged some gears, i was in an off camber section going around a turn and missed 2nd pretty damn bad to be honest and now the whole ride home the gear box felt worse than ever, super notchy, my shifter now feels like a robotic arm its nowhere near smooth. Any tranny guys out there know what might be my issue. I'm not super worried as i'm getting a real Si tranny sunday in trade as a spare but i'd like to not consider this tranny scrap once i take it out. thanx, eric

make sure it has fluid in it, other than that, u may need to pull it and make sure the tolerances are within specs, and that the shift **** in the tranny is all aligned right

thats the only thing i'm thinking might be up is the linkages in the trans, i'm thinking something is screwy with them, i'm getting another tranny so once i put that one in i'll dissassemble this one and find out what the problem was and hopefully put it back together as another spare

check your shifter stabalizer bushing. the one at the shifter end of the linkage (although i'm sure you already knew that) mine was doing the same thing and the linkage had pulled through the bushing. good luck hope this helps

cool, i'll take a look at that, also is there any possibility i could have overtighted the linkage at the motor side causing some sort of binding?
