how many miles do you have on your y8...if its under 80k use mobil1 5w-30....in the cold season use 10w30 but warm use 5w-30....o and i use mobil1 on my y8 too...people are going to tell you to use non synthetic but its up to you...even though our d motors are weak...i like to keep mines running as good as possible

What? Honda has a factory oil? Sorry if i sound dumb, but i really didn't know. Our local honda dealership uses the shell 5w30 oil and its the WORST oil ever. Hell, i was getting less than 30mpg. I've recently switched to Mobil 1 syntetic and my performance and mpg have gone up. Part of the reason being that they were putting in shitty oil.

the dealership parts department sells honda oem oil but the service department uses other stuff except for oem oil. (i've seen chevron, castrol, shell oil used in my nearby dealership)

i used mobil1 clean 5000 which is basically mobil1 version of dino oil. best bang for you buck at around $2 a quart. i've also heard that oem oil is mobil1 dino oil.

(you can switch to syn since your car is still fairly new and low miles but are you willing to spend $6 a quart for the rest of its life? i'd rather spend the $ on a quality filter since that is more important)

i dont remember how much it takes but its 3.4 or something, so just buy 4 quarts and your set.

use mobile 1, use 10w30 instead of 5w30 as we're getting into winter..though I don't know where you live, assuming it's mexico the winter won't matter so u should just go with 5w30 - definately mobile 1 though, either that, penzoil, or castrol (I prefer mobile 1) though)

I usually pick up my Mobil 1 from costco. 6qt. for $21 dollars. Which is very well worth it. Plus, i use the s2000 filter (toyo roki) rather than the new honeywell. For some reason i don't want the words cardboard and engine parts used in the same sentence.

i buy an advance auto parts brand 5w30 gallon and the cheapest filter. it costs me less than 10 bucks to change my oil. i actually change it at 3000 because it's so cheap.
